Akumal means Place of the Turtles in Mayan.
A favorite of ours. This is the bay that drew us here. The bay that started our little piece of Mexico life.
Calm shallow water within the buoys.
Located in Akumal, 10 Min south of Xencasa via the 307.
Located on the Sirenis property.
This beautiful beach is a turtle sanctuary. The sand is soft but the water is rougher most days. This beach is more for enjoying a walk and enjoying the peacefulness of the sea.
Located in Sirenis, a 1.5km 20min walk.
A great beach for swimming, snorkeling and hanging out at the beach club.
Live music and great service, and an added bonus is the resident beach pigs.
Located just 10 min north of Xencasa off the 307.
A public beach located in Tulum with soft white sand and palm trees. This beach can get very busy so go early!
This beach is part of a community but accessable to the public. There are beach cabanas to rent, a restuarnt overlooking the sea, a pool and a surf shop. Bring your snorkel for some great snorkeling (just to the left of that boat in the picture).
