Over the years, my interest for numeral systems of the world has grow, and I have started to work on topics related mostly to the morphology and syntax of numerals. I am particularly focusing on the derivation of non-cardinal numeral series from their cardinal equivalent, and the morphological relationship that such numerals entertain with the cardinals. The word status of numerals is also something I work on. I hope to be doing more in this area in the coming years.
An article on the reasons for which so many languages present suppletion for lower ordinals compared to their cardinal equivalent is under review.
This is an ongoing study that I hope to be presenting this year. A small number of languages in the world, particularly the Celtic languages, present discontinuous larger numerals (numerals higher than their base of counting), which raises questions as to the status of larger cardinals as words or phrases.
I have started to work on the diatopic variation of numeral systems in Occitan varieties.
This will be a description of the morphosyntax of numerals in extant in historical Cornish texts, using all examples present in the corpus.
