Xanthi (Xenia) Tsoukli

Welcome to my website!

I am a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Economics at the University of Bamberg, working at the Research Training Group "Bounded Rationality, Heterogeneity and Network Effects". I did my PhD in Economics at the Department of Economics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) under the supervision of Prof. Paul Sharp

My research interest lies within the areas of economic history and applied economics, with a focus on development, gender and labor. A strand of my research investigates the effects of a political conflict on female labor force participation, in the context of the Civil War in Greece.

I spent the Spring 2019 as a visiting scholar at the Department of Economics at the University of Arizona in Tucson AZ, where I visited Prof. Price Fishback.
