Custom workout .zwo files created and submitted by other Zwift enthusiasts are a great way to extend the Zwift workout library. The workout file(s) can be used in Zwift as explained below. See also this support article from Zwift and this how-to video from Zwift.

After opening Zwift, the new workout should now appear under Custom Workouts in the Zwift workouts screen. One exception to that is when the workout includes a category definition. In that case the workout will not appear under Custom Workouts, but in its own category. Enjoy the ride/run!

2________________

On your PC/Mac, download the .zwo file using the Download button (only visible for custom workouts). Place the downloaded .zwo file in the Zwift Workouts folder on your PC/Mac (see above).

Now open Zwift on another device. The new workouts should now start synchronizing from the cloud and will appear under Custom Workouts in the Zwift workouts screen. Enjoy the ride/run!

New user here. I used it for running one workout so far and I like it. Is there a way I can browse available workouts that I might want to do the next day? If so how and where exactly do I do that? Also if I see a workout can I add it to a schedule?

To find workouts, you can go to the little icon on the top row that has the little vertical bars (possibly on a clipboard). There you can see collections of workouts, your custom workouts, all workouts, and Training Plans- these will all be on the left-hand side.

Do you have a workout, but it is in the wrong format? You do not need to recreate it manually in the desired format. Using the converter below you can convert workouts between .zwo, .mrc, .erg and .fit file formats.4_____ also see our GPX to ZWO converter to convert recorded workouts to a Zwift workout .zwo file.

Turn a real-life route into a custom Zwift workout, personalized based on your rider and bike data and desired intensity. The rider's progress along the route is calculated using physics. The workout represents a fast way to finish the entered route while at the same time trying to balance this against the rider's power output variability.5_____ Although the generated workout is a fast way to finish the route, it is a simplified and idealized version of reality. For a more advanced analysis (including Zwift workout creation too), we recommend Best Bike Split, which takes into account many more parameters.

If you logged your ride on Strava, Garmin Connect, etc., it will be possible to download a GPX file of the workout.6_____ You may have to clean the GPX file in order to reduce its filesize before using this page, see below FAQ on how to create a cleaned GPX file.

Apparently the TR workout creator can import ERG files so you just have to convert your ZWO to that format and then import it. can do this conversion + there are other online converters (e.g. Workout converters | What's on Zwift?).

Hey Everyone

I hope all is well. Question has anyone noticed that when you load a workout from Training Peaks to Zwift the target power is lower in Zwift. From what it shows in Training Peaks? I have my FTP set in Zwift to the same number that it is in TP but in Zwift it could be 10 to 15 watts lower. I have no idea why this is has anyone experienced this?

Hey @davesans I am not sure of the exact reason behind this, but you can easily adjust the FTP inside of zwift while you are in the workout. You drag the bar on the right up and down (see picture). You should be able to easily increase it in there by 10-15 watts so that you hit your zones.

Hi all, lately I've been noticing anomalies in the power data in Strava for a workout from Zwift. This has now happened a few times, only with Zwift workouts.

When I train outside with my Favero power meter, it works perfectly.

This is what happened:

- Export workout from Join to Zwift

- Workout done in Zwift, activity is uploaded to Strava, TrainingPeaks, GarminConnect.

The power data in Strava is very different from TP and GC. Especially for the 10-50 second intervals.

I'm following a training schedule from Join, which reads the wrong data from Strava, so it doesn't rate my workouts correctly, which makes pretty annoying.

I have attached screenshots from Zwift, showing the correct values. TP and GC also show the correct values, but Strava does not.

I've already removed the activity from Strava, and added the fit file from Zwift again, but with the same results.

Using: Elite Direto XR smarttrainer connected via Bluetooth to Zwift on Apple tv. Powernumbers for longer intervals look OK, but for shorter, more intense intervals, they're not.

"I do see that there are some differences in the lap data, comparing what is shown within Zwift and what is displayed once the activity is uploaded to our system.

This is due to how Zwift writes lap data to the FIT file. When you begin your workout, the first few laps will actually be missing valid activity stream data, basically it will look like there is nothing happening in those initial laps. Upon upload to our system, the missing data is automatically discarded, and laps may look slightly different overall.

This is simply a limitation of the integration at this time. Apologies for any confusion or inconvenience there."

This is also how I replied in the case, hopefully somebody has an idea. I also looked at some older Zwift workouts from last year and most of them show the power data for shorter (sprint) intervals correctly.

Xert The Ultimate Guide to Training with Xert and ZwiftThe Best of Both WorldsWith the cold winter weather, even the toughest riders are forced inside for the relative warmth and safety of their trainers. Oh, and another thing. I downloaded a cheap app that turned my phone into a touchpad mouse for my computer. This kept me from having to get off the bike whenever I wanted to start or pause my workout.

Tonight, for some reason, I have a ride that shows up in Garmin Connect online and in the app, but it just won't sync to the Edge. It's not in the ride history and no matter what I do (reboot, restart the app, sync manually via Garmin Express), it just won't come over the Edge. I don't think there's anything special about the ride, just a Zwift workout (other workouts this week have synced fine).

A) Structured workouts should show 800m (instead of 0.80km), same for any other duration (like 400m instead of 0.40m)

B) Distances remaining should show actual meters when on the track, not my statute remaining (0.42mi)

As the popularity of indoor riding continues to rise, many riders find themselves enjoying the safety of riding indoors on their trainer or taking shelter from the elements. Thankfully, structured workouts like those from Xert and online virtual rides from the likes of Zwift not only reduce the boredom associated with riding indoors, but they can even make these rides fun and productive. If you have Xert and are looking to utilize it in tandem with Zwift, this article was made for you. This blog post is a comprehensive guide to help you set up, enjoy, and benefit by combining Xert and Zwift.

Choose the athletes you want to invite to the meetup, then add the same structured workout to that day in their calendar. You may wish to put a reminder of the start time of the Zwift meetup in the workout description!

Each rider in the meetup will need to do this individually, i.e. it will not automatically pick the workout for each rider. But once everyone has selected the same workout and the ride starts, everyone will be completing the same intervals at the same time!

After thousands of hours of riding on Zwift, there are still training plans, workouts, and events I have yet to explore. The options are endless, the Zwift community never stops growing, and new events, series, and challenges are announced every week. 5376163bf9
