Front Drive

  • The front drive mounts the motor, gearbox, and front sprocket to the bike frame

  • The motor is a 6374, 170kV brushless motor capable of outputting 3300 watts

  • The 2 stage gear box creates a 2.77:1 gear ratio that powers the front sprocket

  • A high gear ratio is required to transmit optimal torque to the rear wheel, which is why the 2 stage gear step down is necessary

  • The Front Drive must be compact to allow room for the cranks to be pedaled by the user
