Akhil Mathur is a Principal Research Scientist at Nokia Bell Labs in Cambridge, United Kingdom where he conducts research on Mobile Sensing and Embedded Machine Learning. His current focus is on developing techniques to improve the robustness and generalizability of machine learning systems in resource-constrained environments.
Neha Kumar is an assistant professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, U.S.A., where she conducts research at the intersection of human-centered computing and global development. In recent years, her research has investigated the role of mobile technologies in global health, with a focus on challenges around data, stigma, and gender.
Neil Gaikwad is a doctoral scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in human-centered machine learning and public policy for sustainability. He designs and develops socially-aware artificial intelligence systems for sustainable development, with a focus on increasing equity in institutional policymaking and spatial planning, analyzing socio-economic processes and large-scale data emerging from environmental remote sensing satellites.
Pranjal Jain is a Co-founder & Operations Lead at theUXWhale, New Delhi, India. His interests lie in designing for ethical data practices, online privacy through speculative and critical design. He is a Human-Centered Designer from Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design & Technology. He is also the founding chair and the ex-chairperson at the Srishti SIGCHI Chapter.
Shubham Atreja is a Ph.D. student at the School of Information, University of Michigan. He is interested in evaluating and improving online social systems with a particular focus on the Global South. Previously, he worked at IBM Research Labs in India, building systems and analyzing natural language data.
