Privacy Policy for the "X Post Text Extractor" Chrome Extension

Last Updated: 03/04/2025

This Privacy Policy describes how the Google Chrome browser extension "X Post Text Extractor" (the "Extension") collects, uses, and stores information.

1. Who We Are

The "X Post Text Extractor" Extension is developed by Gidhabr.

2. Information Collected

The Extension collects or accesses the following types of information:

We DO NOT collect personal identifying information (such as your name, email address, physical address, payment details, etc.), unless you explicitly provide it in the fields for your content context or audience (which is not the intended use of these fields).

We do not sell or transfer your personal information or the content of your tweets to third parties for purposes unrelated to the Extension's core function (idea generation).

3. How Information is Used

The collected information is used solely for the following purposes:

4. Data Sharing with Third Parties

To generate tweet ideas, the Extension transmits the text of the selected tweet, your content context, and audience description (or a query based on this data) to a third-party service - the Anthropic API.

Please review the Anthropic API's privacy policy to understand how they handle data:

https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy

We do not sell or transfer your personal information or the content of your tweets to third parties for purposes unrelated to the Extension's core function (idea generation).

5. Data Storage

Your content context and audience description that you enter in the Extension's settings are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers. The text of the selected tweet is processed temporarily for idea generation.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal identifying information (other than what you might have voluntarily provided in the context/audience fields), your options for requesting access to or deletion of data are minimal. Uninstalling the Extension will stop all data collection and usage and will remove the locally stored context/audience.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
