PA & FBI Clearances

In order to ensure the safety of every child, and in compliance with with Pennsylvania state law, US Youth Soccer national regulations, and North Eastern Pennsylvanian requirements, all Board Members, Trainers, Coaches (both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches), Team Managers, and US Youth Soccer certified Referees interested in serving with the Wallenpaupack Youth Soccer League must have the following on file each season: 

1. STATE POLICE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK - The State Police Criminal Record Check is REQUIRED for the above positions and may be obtained online: https://epatch.state.pa.us/

2. PA CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE - The PA Child Abuse History Clearance is REQUIRED for the above positions and may be obtained online, for free from: https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home

3. One of the following, depending on your residency in Pennsylvania. Either...

   • NOTARIZED VOLUNTEER AFFIDAVIT - A Notarized Volunteer Affidavit is only an option if you have have been a PA resident for AT LEAST 10 continuous years. It may be obtained online, here: https://usys-assets.ae-admin.com/assets/965/15/Volunteer%20Affidaviteditrev.pdf. Please note, the affidavit MUST be notarized before submission.

4. ...or...

   • FBI CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK - DIGITAL FINGERPRINTING - An FBI Criminal Background Check, Digital Fingerprinting is REQUIRED of everyone who has been a PA resident for LESS THAN 10 continuous years.    • The process for the first two clearances is relatively quick, and results are often returned within hours. Affidavits may be notarized by a notary of your choice. The FBI Check is a longer process, requires an appointment, and generally several weeks to receive your results. Clearances may be submitted to our In-House Registrar and Risk Management Officer at
