We welcome submissions from various areas of HRI. Participants are encouraged to submit a project that is currently in the design process but may contain weaknesses in the design and methods sections. We also highly encourage the submission of completed studies as they create an opportunity for self-reflection and potential for improvement of future work.
The submissions should clearly state the research question and hypotheses (if any). Additionally, submissions must emphasize the design and method sections (rather than the sections such as introduction, results, etc.), and explain them in more detail within 4 pages including figures and references. Finally, the submission should also include a dedicated section with questions or topics about the study for discussion with the mentors.
Submissions will be accepted based on the detail of the method section, the originality of the research, and the potential contributions to the field.
The formats for the submissions are similar to those of the main HRI 2023 conference. Templates are available via the ACM website or directly via Overleaf. When using Overleaf, please ensure that the document uses the “sigconf” document class, rather than the “manuscript, screen, review” document class.
