About the Service:
Wyoming Substitute Teacher Practice Course
 The Wyoming Substitute Teacher Certification Program is designed to train individuals in the skills and knowledge required to be a qualified substitute teacher for public schools in Wyoming. The program consists of 50 hours of instruction and pre-service field experiences.
 The course is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor's degree or higher, but do not have any teaching experience. If you do not meet these qualifications, please contact the Office of Professional Practices at (307) 778-7226 for more information on how to become a certified teacher in Wyoming.
 Upon successful completion of all requirements, participants will receive an approved substitute certificate from the Wyoming Department of Education. This certificate may be used to work as a substitute teacher in any Wyoming school district during regular school hours within 30 days after completion of all requirements (2/1/12). A new application must be submitted if you wish to continue working beyond this 30 day period (2/1/12).
