BIG Thank you to all club members, parents, supporters, sponsors for all their help, work and support for the 2026 season!!!!!!!
20Wyndham Town FC was established in 2017 in the Eastern Southland area, with a senior women's team made up of family members and friends.
In its first season, the team established a relationship with Queens Park AFC, which allowed the Club to play in the Southland Senior Women's competition in 2017 season.
It was a diffcult season with half the team training on a Tuesday night and the other half training on a Thursday night in their first season.
This required alot of planning and hard work by the team so when it came to the games on Sunday, the team was able to function successfully.
In it's first season the team took part in Southland Football Women's Division One Championship and won the title in their first season of competitive football.
The team also competed in the Southland Woman's Knock-out Cup competition and won the Plate Trophy competition.
After being down 2 - 4 at halftime in the final, and with a few jet planes thrown around, the team made a amazing comeback to win the final 6 - 4 in a thrilling game against a very determind Gore Wanderers team.
The Club has continued to grow and has a Senior Women's 1st XI team and two 7-a-side Development teams this season.
The Senior Women's team has started the season well, by reaching the Pre-Season Cup Final for 2018, where they went down to 2017 Southland Champions Queens Park by 4 - 2.
During the 2018 season, the Senior Women's team finished top of the 1st round of the competition and so quailfied for the Senior Women's Kolk Cup competition. In this competition they finished in 4th place.
Then during the Senior Women's Knock-out Cup the team drew Gore Wanderers in the first round and defeated them 6-2. Then in the Semi-final they over came Southend United, who finished runners-up in the Kolk Cup competition 3 -2 to make the Cup Final for 2018.
In the Final, in a very close affair Wyndham Town went down to Thistle FC 1 - 0 in a very close and entertaining game.
In 2018, Wyndham Town FC had two 7-a-side Development Team's, Blue and White. These two teams took part in the Development League in which the Blue Team went on to finish unbeaten and win the very first championship in that championship. Our White team, played very well and finished in 3rd place, and upsetrunners-up in the League Thistle FC 1 - 0.
In the Development League Knock-out Cup competitions, the Blue team went on to beat Thistle FC 4 -1 on penalties and our White team went down in the Plate Trophy final, 2 - 0 on penalties to Thistle White team.

In October 2018, WTFC, venture into the youth team ages groups with two Year 7 & 8 teams in the MLT Summer Socca League. The WTFC "Gunners" and the WTFC "Strikers" teams performed very well in the Intermediate Championship with the WTFC "Gunners" finishing Runners-up in the competition for 2018.
In 2019, the club has been busy adding a Men's team to the club to take part in Division 2 of the Southland competition. Also we have established two junior teams that are taking part in the Southland Football 12th Grade competition for the season, WTFC "Victory"and WTFC "Phoenix.
Our Senior Women, finished Runners-up in the Kolk Cup Premier woman's competition which is their best finish in the women's league to date. They also won the Woman's KO Trophy competition for the second time in their history.

In the Edinburgh KO Trophy competition, they knocked out Old Boys Reserve team 3 - 1 and went on to make the semi-finals before getting knocked out.
In 2020, will go down in history when covia-19 just about destroyed the football season. But we were not effected as much as other areas of the country and go through our season in 4 months.
2020 season was when our Junior Club joined together with Wyndale FC and all teams played under Wyndham Town FC. We were able to field teams in the Eastern competitions; 8th grade (x2) and 10th Grade. Also we ran our own 6th grade teams *(x2) as well. With the older teams they played in the 11th, 12th and 13th grade competitions under Southland Wide Football Competitions. It was fantastic to see 8 Junior teams running around on a Saturday was fantastic.
With our Senior teams, both had some success this season with the women finishing in 4th place in the Kolk up Premier Competition and Runners-up in the Senior Women's KO Cup.
Our Senior men finished in 3rd place in the Division 2 competition which was an outstanding effort with only two losses against teams that finished above them. They also finished in 4th place in the Division 2 Cup (2nd round of comp) and won their first trophy ever in their Robbie Walker Cup challenge matches against Gore Wanderers.
In 2021, we were very lucky with no real lockdowns because of Covid-19until the end of the season which did not really effect us in the end.
With the 2021 season we put 8 teams out on the field with 6 junior teams and 2 senior teams.
Our Junior teams are starting to develop very well and the future for the club is looking good. We our 6th, 8th and 10th grades playing in the Eastern Southland Leagues and our 11th,, 12th & 14th Grades playing in the Southland Football Junior Leagues.
Stand outs for our Juniors was our very first all girls 8th Grade team that did very well against the mixed and boys teams they faced. Also big mention to our 11th Grade team that in the second half of their season had a very impressive run and finished Runners-up in the Trophy Section at the end of the season.
With our Senior teams, both had some success this season with the women finishing in 4th place in the Kolk up Premier Competition and Runners-up in the Senior Women's KO Cup for the second year in a row.
Our Senior men finished in 3rd place in the Division 2 competition. They also finished in 3rd place in the Division 2 Cup (2nd round of comp) which went down to the last weekend of play with three teams in the running to win the Cup.
Wyndham Town Football Club will offer in the future a variable option in the Eastern Southland area for women, men and youth players to play football in a number of different formats with positive experiences and a family club environment.
