• Mar 2026: We won the NRF's AI-for-Science Catalytic Grant Call (Lead PI)! Check out our video introduction.

• Mar 2026: I will serve as Area Chair for NeurIPS 2026.

• Feb 2026: I joined the editorial board of Communications AI & Computing, a new journal within Nature portfolio.

• Feb 2026: One paper accepted by CVPR-26 [Oral]. Congrats to Tianxiang and Tiantong.

• Jan 2026: Two papers accepted by ICLR-26, one on AI Safety and another on efficiency. Congrats to Jiaming, Wangche and Zihao, Siyi, Xinyu!

• Jan 2026: Congrats to Zijie for his work's acceptance to EACL (Main, Oral) and Yurong for her collaboration work's acceptance to WWW (with Science Tokyo).

• Jan 2026: I joined Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (IEEE TNNLS)  as Associate Editor, and Scientific Reports as Editor.

• Jan 2026: We won the MOE Tier 1 grant. 

• Nov 2025: Two papers accepted by AAAI-26. Congrats to Fuyao, Xinyu, Wang Tiantong, as well as other co-authors from our team. Check out our federated unlearning framework Oblivionis. Also congrats to Yilei, whose paper is accepted by WSDM (oral).

• Sept 2025: Two papers accepted by NeurIPS-25. Congrats to Wang Che and Wu Fan, as well as other co-authors from our team. 

• Aug 2025: We won the MOE Tier 2 grant!

• Aug 2025: I will serve as Area Chair for ICLR 2026.

• May 2025: I won the Inauguration Grant under Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore Teaching and Academic Research Talent Scheme (START)!

• Apr 2025: One paper on Continual Learning accepted by TNNLS, congrats Zhengyi!

• Feb 2025: One paper on federated unlearning accepted by CVPR-25, congrats Zhengyi!

• Feb 2025: We won the Japan-Singapore Joint Call for Proposals on  Artificial Intelligence (AI)! Our Japan counterpart/PI is Prof Cao Yang from  Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Tech). This is an exciting project that also involves collaborators from University of Tokyo, Universiti Malaya, SUTD, Bosch etc.

• Jan 2025: One paper on federated learning over statistically heterogeneous clients (multi-domains) accepted by ICLR-25, congrats Jingyuan! 

• Jan 2025: One paper on enhancing security of federated learning in the presence of malicious clients accepted by IEEE Transactions  on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE), congrats Wenjie!
