WyAEA provides an annual conference in the spring, in conjunction with the Governor’s Art Awards. This conference offers PTSB credit, hands on learning, sessions on current trends and issues in art education, as well as opportunities to gain important resources and build strong networks.
WyAEA awards Wyoming art educators, art education programs and individuals contributing to the profession. WyAEA also puts forward nominees to be considered for recognition at the national level.
WYAEA is working with other Arts organizations and agencies to advocate and promote for arts education in the state of Wyoming. WyAEA publishes findings about political candidates, representatives, school boards and superintendents here.
WyAEA produces an electronic newsletter for its members three times a year. Additionally WYAEA members receive several publications from NAEA each year, highlighting events and current issues in art education.

WyAEA is the Wyoming state affiliate with the National Art Education Association. WyAEA provides a delegate representative to every NAEA national conference to represent the interests of art education in Wyoming.

WyAEA continues to take part in discussions and decision making at a national level in the form of delegate input to the NAEA delegation assembly. WyAEA offers many opportunities for members to get involved. Consider working as a consulting editor or serving on the Board. WyAEA offers many leadership opportunities; whether you are an occasional volunteer or board officer and committee chair.
