WyAEA provides opportunities to connect, collaborate and network with other art educators. Joining WYAEA gives you all the state and national member benefits. Attend state and national conferences, professional development events, and networking opportunities.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

WyAEA provides an annual conference in the spring, in conjunction with the Governor’s Art Awards. This conference offers PTSB credit, hands on learning, sessions on current trends and issues in art education, as well as opportunities to gain important resources and build strong networks.

AWARDS

WyAEA awards Wyoming art educators, art education programs and individuals contributing to the profession. WyAEA also puts forward nominees to be considered for recognition at the national level.

ADVOCACY

WYAEA is working with other Arts organizations and agencies to advocate and promote for arts education in the state of Wyoming. WyAEA publishes findings about political candidates, representatives, school boards and superintendents here.

PUBLICATIONS

WyAEA produces an electronic newsletter for its members three times a year. Additionally WYAEA members receive several publications from NAEA each year, highlighting events and current issues in art education.

SOCIAL MEDIA

WyEA is an organization with active social media outlets, including Facebook and a blog. Stay connected, receive important updates and motivating ideas.

NATIONAL CONNECTION

WyAEA is the Wyoming state affiliate with the National Art Education Association. WyAEA provides a delegate representative to every NAEA national conference to represent the interests of art education in Wyoming.

POSITIONS

WyAEA continues to take part in discussions and decision making at a national level in the form of delegate input to the NAEA delegation assembly. WyAEA offers many opportunities for members to get involved. Consider working as a consulting editor or serving on the Board. WyAEA offers many leadership opportunities;  whether you are an occasional volunteer or board officer and committee chair.
