This calculator takes the parameters of a regular polygon and calculates its coordinates. It produces both the coordinates of the vertices and the coordinates of the line segments making up the sides of the polygon.

I have QGIS 2.18.16 installed. My problem is, how to calculate radius of an arc / curve feature (line)? The lines are originated from .dgn file, which I read with FME and wrote to PostGis DB. I have created primary keys etc, and the table is fully editable. I calculated lengths for the arcs successfully, but cant figure out how to calculate radius for these curves. This ( ) might give some idea on the math side, though I can't figure out how to use it in QGIS calculator. So I need to calculate the "R" for all the lines i have in the DB.

Graphing provides a visual structure to what you're learning in mathematics. To help strengthen your overall math and graphing skills, below is a collection of 118 graphing calculators separated by skill level and type.

There are different forms for writing the equation of a line. MathIsFun.com notes that slope-intercept form or y = mx + b is probably the most common. The calculators below help you find the equation of a line given the properties you know.

I've misspoken more than once here. It wasn't the XML I edited; it was the .SVG file. And it was the coordinates of the vertices I plugged in, not the desired side lengths. I found the coordinates by plugging my desired side lengths into the formula here: -calculator.html

The purpose of this learning video is to show students how to think more freely about math and science problems. Sometimes getting an approximate answer in a much shorter period of time is well worth the time saved. This video explores techniques for making quick, back-of-the-envelope approximations that are not only surprisingly accurate, but are also illuminating for building intuition in understanding science. This video touches upon 10th-grade level Algebra I and first-year high school physics, but the concepts covered (velocity, distance, mass, etc) are basic enough that science-oriented younger students would understand. If desired, teachers may bring in pendula of various lengths, weights to hang, and a stopwatch to measure period. Examples of in- class exercises for between the video segments include: asking students to estimate 29 x 31 without a calculator or paper and pencil; and asking students how close they can get to a black hole without getting sucked in. ff782bc1db
