Unique rental options on Chebeague Island: One post and beam house and two yurts, on separate areas of the island.
Two unique ways to experience a Maine island...accessible by ferry...in the woods...walk to beaches. The post and beam house is a spacious and sleeps five, one yurt is an authentic traditional Mongolian yurt, the other is a yurt built in the USA.

Chebeague Island is the largest year round island in Casco Bay, accessible by ferry from either downtown Portland or Yarmouth. When guests arrive, they will be met for a ride to the yurt. Once on the island, there are plenty of places to explore, from beaches to wooded trails. There is a guidebook for explorers.
Things to do on Chebeague? Walk the beaches, bring your birding binoculars, or sit around the campfire. Go golfing, visit the Historical Museum, check out the Secondwind Farm Living History, play tennis or pickleball, check out the Recreation Center with a pool and fitness room.
Fresh lobsters can be ordered and cooked at the yurt, but bring buttah. Want to eat out? Dine at the Chebeague Inn - with the best sunset view in Casco Bay and extraordinary food (transportation provided). Check out the Slow Bell Cafe, good pub food with live music on most weekends. The Niblic offers breakfast baked goods, sandwiches and hearty soups. Doughty's Island Market probably has everything you would ever need!
