1. Two teams take part in the game - the "University Team" (hereinafter referred to as the University/Askers) and the "Scholars Team" (hereinafter referred to as the Scholar(s)).
2. The team of scholars consists of 5 people, one of them is captain.
3. The University team consists of students who uploaded the question and got their question selected.
4. The Club, represented by the host, asks the Scholars questions, and the Scholars must find the answer to the question in 90 seconds.
5. If the Scholars answer the question correctly, they earn a point. If the Scholars answer the question incorrectly, the University gets a point. In addition to the point, the student whose question the Scholars could not answer correctly receives CA$2.
7. The host of the game determines the correctness of the answer.
8. The game goes up to 5 points.
9. The winner of the game is the team that gets 5 points first.
10. If the scholars' team wins, the team takes the monetary prize or donates the full/part of the amount won to charity.
11. Any member of the Scholars team can neither submit a question to the game where they are supposed to participate, nor submit it through a third party. Violation of this rule entails consequences in the form of exclusion from the club.
12. Teams of Scholars are notified 2 weeks before the anticipated date of their game.
THE QUESTION SELECTION PROCESS
12. University students can access the Google Form on the "Upload A Question" page.
13. Inside this online form, the student will be able to find tips about the format of the question and a warning about censorship when submitting the question.
14. Subsequent sanctions will take place if a particular student spams or uploads irrelevant content.
15. The questions are selected by the members of Executive Committee managing selection process.
SECTORS ON THE GAME TABLE
16. The game table is divided into 9 sectors. In these sectors, there are envelopes with questions from the University, selected through an online survey of students.
18. Which question will be asked to scholars is determined by a program that selects random numbers.
19. One of the sectors on the game table may turn out to be the "Blitz" sector.
19.1. There are three questions at play in the "Blitz" sector. One expert remains at the game table (by the decision of the captain). The expert is given 20 seconds to answer each question. If an incorrect answer is given to one of the questions, the round is considered lost. In order to win the "Blitz" sector, it is necessary to answer all three questions correctly in a row.
AN EXTRA MINUTE
21. A team of Scholars that loses to the University with a score of X:4 (where X is from 0 to 3) may ask the host for an "Extra minute" to discuss.
22. If the host is ready to give the team this minute, then the scholars get it. The captain of the team can ask for an "Extra minute" after the expiration of the main minute for discussion.
23. The "Extra minute" can be taken in the "Blitz" rounds, but it can be used to find the correct answer to only one of the three questions.
24. Scholars have the right to answer a question without a minute of discussion. If this answer is found to be correct, the scholars receive an "Extra minute" for discussion, which they can use when searching for the correct answer to one of the questions in this game.
PUNISHMENT FOR HINT
25. The hint can be recorded by the host of the game.
26. Attempts to make it clear with a gesture whether the scholar gave the correct or incorrect answer until the host announced the answer are also equivalent to a hint.
27. If the hint is recorded, the tipster is removed from the hall for the next 3 games. The scholar team playing in this round may be deprived of the right to answer a question, and a point will be awarded to the viewer.
