General Rules and Regulations
1. Two teams take part in the game – the "Askers Team" (hereinafter referred to as the University/Askers) and the "Players Team" (hereinafter referred to as the Scholars/Players).
2. The team of players consists of 5 people, one of them is a captain.
3. The Askers team consists of students who uploaded the question and got their question selected.
4. Specialized program randomly selects the question, giving the topic of that question at the end.
5. The host gives players 15 seconds to discuss the what the question may be like based on the topic. Then host reads aloud the selected question, and the Players must find the answer to the question in 60 seconds.
6. If the Players answer the question correctly, they earn a point. If the Players answer the question incorrectly, the Askers team gets the point.
7. The host of the game determines the correctness of the answer.
8. The game goes up to 5 points.
9. The winner of the game is the team that gets 5 points first.
10. If the Players team wins, the team takes the monetary prize.
11. Any member of the Players team can neither submit a question to the game where they are supposed to participate, nor submit it through a third party. Violation of this rule entails consequences in the form of exclusion from the club.
12. Teams of Players are notified 2 weeks before the anticipated date of their game.
THE QUESTION SELECTION PROCESS
13. University students can access the Google Form on the "Upload A Question" page of the website.
14. Inside this online form, students will be able to find tips about the format of the questions and a warning about censorship when submitting the question.
15. Subsequent sanctions will take place if a particular student spams or uploads irrelevant content.
16. The questions are selected by the members of Executive Committee managing selection process.
TYPES OF QUESTIONS
17. “General question” – majority of the questions are general written text questions that are read aloud by host.
18. “Blitz” – set of 3 simple questions each given 20 seconds to answer.
19. “Mystery object” – given a context about the object in the box, players must guess what is inside of the box.
AN EXTRA MINUTE
20. A team of Players that loses to the University with a score of X:4 (where X is from 0 to 3) may ask the host for an "Extra minute" to discuss.
21. If the host is ready to give the team this minute, then the Players get it. The captain of the team can ask for an "Extra minute" after the expiration of the main minute for discussion.
22. The "Extra minute" can be taken in the "Blitz" rounds, but it can be used to find the correct answer to only one of the three questions.
23. Players have the right to answer a question without a minute of discussion. If this answer is found to be correct, the Players receive an "Extra minute" for discussion, which they can use when searching for the correct answer to one of the questions in this game.
PUNISHMENT FOR HINT
24. The hint can be recorded by the host of the game.
25. Attempts to make it clear with a gesture whether the Players gave the correct or incorrect answer until the host announced the answer are also equivalent to a hint.
26. If the hint is recorded, the tipster is removed from the hall for the next 3 games. The Players team playing in this round may be deprived of the right to answer a question, and a point will be awarded to the viewer.
