SPL foundation was founded in March 2014 by then 17-year-old Ashli-Ann Broughton as a high school student who saw the need for a change in her hometown Montego Bay, that change was focused on helping the homeless people living in the area.
With just a meagre budget in the beginning, our group started preparing small meals for the homeless people in Montego Bay before moving on to large scale feeding projects impacting more persons.
Our existence is fueled by the smiles we put on faces ravaged by the elements and lingering thoughts of constant struggles.
Founder Ashli-Ann Broughton, received the 2020 Prime minister’s youth award for excellence for the category of Nation building which is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon youth in Jamaica, with many other achievements.
