Executive Director - Level 2
Hi there! I'm Juliette. I grew up on our family farm about an hour south of Oyen and have been in Oyen for the past five years, working part-time and casually at the daycare. I am super excited to now be stepping into the role of Executive Director and can’t wait to be a part of the daycare in a more permanent way! I am currently enrolled at Robertson College and hold my Level 2 Early Childhood Education certification. I am working toward obtaining my Level 3 certification as well. I truly love working with children and feel so fortunate to be part of their early learning journeys. Watching them grow, learn new skills, and gain confidence is incredibly rewarding. I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and supported. When I’m not at work, you can usually find me planning my wedding, spending time with my family on our family farm, or out golfing. I’m looking forward to all the adventures this year will bring!

I have received my Level 1 in Early Childhood Education and would love to further my knowledge and work on getting my higher levels. In my spare time, I love spending time with family and friends. I am so excited to be apart of Oyen Daycare and to be able to bring my little girls with me!

Hai, I'm Sreelakshmi! A physics graduate from india, who moved to Canada in 2022. In 2023, I completed the renewable technician program at Niagara college, Ontario. I moved to Oyen with my friends in June 2024,which has been an exciting change for me. After taking some time to reflect on my career path, I seized the opportunity to work in a daycare, and it's been such a rewarding experience. I’ve discovered a real passion for working with children and nurturing their growth. Moving forward, I’m eager to continue building my career in child care, learning more, and making a positive impact on the little ones I work with. I'm excited for the new challenges and opportunities this field brings!
Early Childhood Educator - Level 1
My name is Christie Kolkman. I live in Oyen with my husband, our son, two dogs, and three cats. I wanted to work in childcare as 5 of our 6 kids are grown and live on their own, and it's time for me to do something I enjoy. Watching small children learn through play, develop friendships, learn routines, and gain independence is what I love about childcare.
