I am Kalon Jones, and I am a freshman at Fisk University. I was born in Nashville TN, and graduated from McGavock High School. I live in a family of 8 and we have two sets of twins, me and my brother and my twin sisters.
Making friends has always come easy to me, as I try and be friendly with as many people as I can. I am a true believer in making as many friends as you can, because what makes a person stand out from everyone else is the connections they have made. Putting yourself out there is what gives you more opportunities.
I tend to be very optimistic and I can even in the worst of situations, I only believe the best can come from anything, whether it may be a learning experience or a new way of thinking.
I love to listen to music, and it has been very influential to me. It helps me to focus on my work and to have a good time. Being able to enjoy music with others is, in my opinion, a luxury, as me and my friends have the same music taste.
I have also always had a love for technology and software. My desired career interest is to solve problems and/or puzzles based off what I know or what I can find out. Computer science in some major respects, such as coding and seeing the process through, can feel like a riddle to solve or a puzzle to finish. Determining what problems can be solved with computers and the complexity of the algorithms that solve them are a big part of the process that can be very satisfying to complete.
