I, Swaroop Kanwar, alumnus of Department of English and Foreign Languages, RBVRR Women's College, would like to share my thoughts about Jhilam Madam, whom I admire and who has played an eminent role in my college life. Her passion and dedication to what she does really motivated me to push myself and strive for my own goals. The way she approaches challenges; with such positivity; is contagious, and it makes me want to be better every day. She has a unique ability to bring out the best in those around her, and I feel lucky to have her in my life. 

Jhilam Madam's style of teaching really makes a difference in student's learning experience. She has a unique way of explaining complex concepts, making them accessible and engaging. I admire her commitment to encouraging us to think critically and explore new ideas. It's motivating to see someone so invested in our success, and I truly appreciate all the effort she put into making our classes impactful. I thank her for being such a wonderful source of inspiration!

It is an absolute privilege to have been a student of Dr. Jhilam Chattaraj—an extraordinary lecturer, poet, and editor whose passion for literature is inspiring and transformative. Her passion for literature and poetry has inspired me at every stage of my student life and even after my graduation. As an exceptional teacher, poet, speaker, and editor, she not only nurtured my love for literature but also challenged me to think critically and creatively.

Dr. Chattaraj’s ability to weave poetry into everyday experiences made literature come alive in the most profound ways. Her insightful guidance not only refined my academic writing but also nurtured my creative instincts, giving me the confidence to embrace my own voice as a writer. Under Dr. Chattaraj’s guidance, I discovered my skills as an editor and gained a deeper understanding that a writer’s role extends beyond writing, involving active engagement and publishing in contemporary art and culture.

Beyond her role as an educator, Dr. Chattaraj is an exceptional poet and editor. Her mastery of words and her dedication to the craft of poetry are truly remarkable. The way she mentors students, offering both encouragement and constructive critique, speaks to her generosity as a teacher and her deep commitment to the literary world.

I am immensely grateful for her mentorship, wisdom, and unwavering support. Dr. Jhilam Chattaraj’s influence will continue to shape my academic and creative pursuits, and I will always cherish the lessons she has imparted.
