Lesson 5-2: Verifying Trigonometric Identities
Verify trigonometric identities.
Determine whether equations are identities.
To verify Trig identities, we use a system called LHS and RHS. LHS stands for "Left Hand Side" and RHS stands for "Right Hand Side".
Steps:
- Start with LHS and prove RHS
- Start with RHS and prove LHS
- Work on LHS and RHS independently and show they equal the same thing
- NEVER SOLVE LIKE AN EQUATION
