Though a plethora of opportunities opened like a floodgate before me when I searched for a suitable job, I chose teaching as my career choice, for I have a penchant for teaching. I have been in this field for more than a decade.
The major chunk of my service has been in the field of Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), training Engineering aspirants in Communication Skills, getting them ready for lucrative employment opportunities, and teaching English Literature. Besides this, I also have a flair for Student Counseling. I have been working as a Faculty member in the Department of Language, Culture and Society at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu, India.
With an unwavering dedication to pursuing knowledge, I have journeyed through the intricate realms of academia, delving into postmodern issues for my doctoral research while embracing diverse fields. My scholarly contributions, comprising over 62 research articles, have graced the pages of esteemed journals, including those indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and SCI Impact Factor. In a crowning achievement, Stanford University and Elsevier recognized my scholarly endeavours by listing me among the World's Top 2% of Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier, a testament to my unwavering commitment to intellectual exploration. I produced two PhDs under my supervision.
Of late, I have been given the covetable assignment of Proofreader and Language Editor of the Polish Journal of Management Studies, working as a Guest Editor for Journal of International Women’s Studies, World Journal of English Language, Associate Editor of Frontiers in Education and Frontiers in Public Health and Editorial Board Member of Journal of Education and Learning, Forum for Linguistic Studies, Academic Editor and Editorial Board Member of PLOS ONE, Reviewer of various journals and serving as Scientific Committee Member of International Conferences.
I presented/participated in scores of research papers in a dozen venues, including UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Poland and Vietnam, and served as Session Chair and Keynote Speaker at International Conferences. I am healthy and dynamic.
I love to run in the early morning. Usually, I run 3-5 kilometers on alternate days.
Miles to go...
