Thanks for visiting my page.
I am Dhyey Bhavsar. I describe myself as a reader, a researcher, a dreamer, and eventually a philosopher. I have recently finished my second Master's in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
My academic research interests lie in the discipline of computational solid mechanics wherein I investigate use of potential optimization algorithms along with various flavors of finite element formulation to investigate and design topology of the structures. My specific interests lie in developing mathematical framework to implement curvature controlled feature size regularization for Level-Set Topology Optimization. Apart, I am helping BioServe Space Technology, a space incubator at CU Boulder, design a Payload Enclosure system for the Artemis Program. For my master's thesis, I developed a framework utilizing a shape signature from the computer graphics community to use as a potential solution for manufacturing constraints.
In terms of industry experience, I have had multiple internships and more than two and half years of full-time industry experience in structure analysis and design. I worked at KFSE in their Los Angeles office as a structure designer between 2020 to 2022. Before working at KFSE, I was a graduate student in the Structural Engineering Department at the University of California San Diego.
Keeping my academic journey apart, I love writing poems in Gujarati, Hindi, and English. Do check out my writing section to find poems. Lately, I have been intrigued by the literary works of Neal Stephenson, Cixin Liu, and David Bessis which has cemented my interest in developing literary skills in my free time.
