Your Maternity Care Package Includes:

Prenatal Care Includes: 

❖ Free consultation appointment, giving us the opportunity to get to know one another and ask questions 

❖ 1 hour office prenatal appointments every 4 weeks from start of care until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks, and weekly thereafter until birth 

❖ Prenatal appointments include health and obstetric history, lab work, maternal vital signs, ongoing nutritional and herbal counseling, mother’s overall physical and emotional well-being, monitoring baby’s growth, listening to baby’s heartbeat, resources, discussion, and education on how to prepare for a natural labor and birth 

❖ Prenatal labs collected in my office including NIPT, if desired

❖ Fresh Test drink for gestational diabetes screen

❖ Ultrasound referral for dating and anatomy scan, if desired or indicated

❖ Evidence-based research, information, and discussion on current prenatal and newborn procedures and the opportunity to make an informed choice 

❖ Support by text or phone during office hours for questions/concerns, after hours support for emergencies from the midwife or a backup midwife 

❖ 36 week in home prenatal appointment includes set up for birth, roles, emergency plan 

❖ Collaboration and/or referral to other practitioners in the community, if needed 

Homebirth Care Includes: 

❖ 24hr availability via phone for labor or emergency from 37 weeks until your birth 

❖ Homebirth supply kit 

❖ Waterbirth tub rental 

❖ Second midwife or birth assistant at birth 

❖ Encouraging and empowering, non-interventive, physiological labor support 

❖ Initiate and encourage first latch and breastfeeding soon after birth 

❖ Laceration repair of basic 1st or 2nd degree tear, if needed 

❖ Full newborn exam, includes APGAR score, weight, length, reflexes, normal newborn assessment 

Postpartum Care Includes: 

❖ In-home postpartum care up to 2 weeks after birth; appointments include monitoring maternal vital signs, overall physical and emotional well-being of the mother, maternal healing, newborn assessment, weight gain, oxygen stats, ongoing breastfeeding support 

❖ Newborn heart defect screen and newborn metabolic screen

❖ Birth certificate completion and filing 

❖ 2, 4, and 6 week office postpartum checkups 

❖ Referral to practitioners in the community for further support, if needed 

A La Carte Services:

❖ If you are planning a hospital birth, you can receive the same prenatal and postpartum services I offer and simply pay by the appointment. I will handle the transfer of your records to the hospital at the time of your delivery.

❖ Your postpartum care will include in-home postpartum visits within the first two weeks of you returning home from the hospital to check on you and baby and then office visits up to 6 weeks postpartum.
