Parenting with Purpose, Living with Barakah
Assalamu‘alaikum, I’m Mama Tiyah. 🌸
When I became a mother 15 years ago, I thought parenting was about raising children. Over time, I realised it is actually about raising yourself, becoming the parent your child uniquely needs, guided by faith, the sunnah, and a deep trust in Allah’s plan.
My path has taken many turns. I studied Medicine, worked in a family business, experienced the balance of working full time and from home, and embraced the season of being a full time mother and homeschooling my children. Each chapter had its lessons. One of the most profound was caring for my son until Allah called him back in 2019. That experience shaped me to be more conscious of life’s purpose and more compassionate towards the struggles of others.
Along the way, I sought knowledge to serve parents better. I trained in coaching skills, became a Positive Discipline Parent Educator, explored human behaviour and communication, and deepened my understanding through Montessori and Islamic Psychology. I was blessed to complete a Diploma in Islamic Psychology at Cambridge Muslim College and later became a Certified Productive Muslim Trainer. In shaa Allah, I am now preparing to pursue a Master’s in Family Counselling.
Today, I am a mother of six, with five children living, from teenagers to a toddler, who fill my days with joy and growth. My work is an extension of my life: helping mothers and parents bridge the generation gap, heal from trauma, and raise families with purpose and barakah.
My guiding motto is Hopeful and Moderate Parenting. I believe that every parent must remain hopeful when raising children, no matter the challenges, and choose moderation because Islam teaches us about balance and walking the middle path. And to every parent I meet, I remind them: do not compare your journey with others. Yours is unique. Have faith, trust Allah’s wisdom, and take each step with hope.
Parenting is a journey of growth, not only for our children but for us as parents. Over the past 15 years, through the joys of raising six children (five living) and the trials Allah placed in my path, I have learned that the key to parenting lies in hope and balance.
My motto is Hopeful and Moderate Parenting. I believe every parent must hold onto hope, no matter the challenge, and embrace moderation, because Islam teaches us to walk the middle path.
Through my training in Islamic Psychology, Positive Discipline, and coaching, I guide mothers and parents to bridge the generation gap, heal from the past, and build families with purpose and barakah.
