Currently deciding to upgrade to 2k20 this week cause of black Friday deals, but there's so many bad reviews on the this year's version. Right now I only have 2k18, i skipped 19 because I heard MC was boring and too grindy. But do you guys it's good purchase or just another skip?

To keep it short, I'm a casual NBA fan who has had some experience playing older 2k games (along with other major sports titles frequently) but hasn't played in while. I was considering purchasing 2k20 but it seems like there's a consensus that the game isn't worth the money. Would I be better saving my money or buying an older version? Any input is appreciated.
