The state of West Virginia is known around the world for its folkways and its skill-craft. West Virginia is recognized both nationally and internationally for its long rich tradition in quilting, pottery, glass making, furniture making, and food ways. However, it is lesser known for its more recent, but still lengthy, fine arts tradition. Fine artists have been working diligently in West Virginia since as early as the 1960’s and have garnered international recognition of their contributions to visual arts, showing in museums and selling to private collectors all over the world. This website is as a resource to learn about some of those artists and their work.
