Public Transport

Manchester has an extensive public transport network, including buses, Metrolink trams and local trains. You can reach the workshop venue by bus to the University’s Oxford Road campus, followed by a short walk along Grafton Street to the Core Technology Facility. Bus routes serving the campus include 42, 43, 142 and 143, while the 147 connects it with Manchester Piccadilly railway station. Further details are available in the venue’s travel guide. Hotel booking

You are welcome to book any hotel in Manchester that suits your preferences and budget. Hyatt Regency Manchester, on Booth Street West, is among the closest options to the workshop venue. Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre and Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre – Oxford Road are also within walking distance. More generally, hotels along Oxford Road or near Manchester Oxford Road and Piccadilly stations offer convenient access to the venue on foot or by bus.

Dinner Recommendations

Manchester offers a wide choice of restaurants serving cuisines from around the world. If you plan to dine in a large group, we recommend booking in advance. Many restaurants accept online reservations, although larger parties may need to contact the restaurant directly. The Oxford Road corridor and the surrounding university area have plenty of dining options. Nearby Rusholme is known for its Curry Mile, while Chinatown, the Northern Quarter and Spinningfields offer further choices in the city centre.
