Undergraduate Students are welcome to work in the lab for summer or long-term independent projects. Typical projects might include:
Design, simulation, and construction of laser systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical parts
Calculation and modeling of laser cooling systems and evanescent fields
Programming of microcontrollers and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
Construction and characterization of interferometry, spectroscopy, and microscopy systems
Prospective Postdocs with Atomic Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Optical Engineering backgrounds are encouraged to contact us for research projects.
High School Students are encouraged to contact us for summer projects in our lab. Also, see the Undergraduate Programs in the Physics Department.
Visiting Positions are available for students and scholars with similar research interests.
