Wu Lab

The Wu Lab engages in research pertaining to aquatic ecology and ecosystem management. We take an integrative approach to improving ecosystem qualities and functionality by incorporating skills from diverse disciplines, including conservation biology, restoration ecology, molecular biology, microbiology, hydrology, limnology, geochemistry and water chemistry.

Our current research includes analysis of chemical and biological pollutants in aquatic ecosystems, water quality and quantity monitoring in estuaries, lakes and streams, detection and identification of toxins present in harmful algal blooms, assessment of seafood consumption safety, and the reconnection of fragmented aquatic & terrestial habitats. Visit the Research Projects page to learn more about our on-going projects.
