EMS Graduate Student Council
The Graduate Student Council represents all five departments of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. We advocate for the graduate student body and collaborate with other student organizations to create a better sense of community.
As chair, I coordinated the Graduate Research Showcase in Fall 2022. I recruited a group of faculty judges and 15 students selected to represent their departments. I also coordinated with the colleges alumni group to strengthen the relationships between graduate students and alumni. In spring of 2023, we collaborated with other student groups to host a panel on graduate school, aimed at helping undergraduates understand the application process and transition to graduate school.

SSWIM is dedicated to fostering a welcoming community to all in our field, with an emphasis on women in meteorology. In my time as chair, I coordinated discussion topics, a social event at Tussey Mountain, and coffee hours for our graduate students.

Penn State Sustainability Ambassadors
Penn State Sustainability Ambassadors
Coordinated with local middle school teachers to improve sustainability and climate awareness. We helped facilitate an assembly in which a Geosciences professor spoke to the eighth grade students at Mount Nittany Middle School.
