For students who are interested in working on research projects with my research team:
We welcome highly self-motivated, reliable, curious, and technically capable students/scholars with solid software development experience, backgrounds in machine learning/deep learning, natural language processing, and statistics, and a strong work ethic. Doctoral students with research experience and publications would be preferred. If interested, please email your CV, transcripts, and three references to Dr. Wu (dezhiwu@cec.s.edu) for consideration.
If you are a doctoral student in Informatics, Computer Science, or another technical domain at USC, I usually consider students who are my current advisees/trainees and have been actively working on a research project under my supervision, either through a graduate-level independent study course, a research internship, or as a student volunteer. If you are not a student I know, the main selection criteria are an outstanding academic record, current publications, research ability to tackle complex problems, and high proficiency in various technical skills, along with strong self-motivation, curiosity, commitment, and a passion for research. If you believe you are a good fit, please email me your CV, transcripts, three references, research statement, and any publications.
NOTE: We currently don't have a research assistant position open in HI3 Tech Lab until further notice.
