Worcester Team United (WTU) welcomes you to learn more about our Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball Club.

WTU’s mission is to develop young athletes to compete and perform at high levels, with a focus on preparing them for the opportunity to be recruited and play at top echelon basketball academies, colleges and universities. WTU emphasizes fundamental basketball playing skills, confidence, positive work ethic and a “team first” attitude. Our goal is to expose all athletes to high-level competition across the region and consistently bring elite talent to the national level.

Through in depth and rigorous elite training, our experienced college and high school level coaches support each individual as they grow within our program. Each player is provided attentive and dedicated coaching that teaches the basic principles of commitment, integrity, toughness and hard work. We aim to have every player demonstrate continuous improvement over time.

As a player Luis Ojeda was the Captain of the Men's Basketball Team at Quinsigamond Community College where he led them to become National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) State Champions in 1997 and have a Regional Final Four appearance in 1997.

Prior to and during his time with the Cougars, Ojeda spent twelve years developing, managing and coordinating basketball and AAU programs for the Worcester Boys and Girls Club. He continues to serve as advisor to their Basketball League Program, and as a youth mentor.

Ojeda’s coaching career spans over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Masters in Education, Organizational Management from Endicott College. He is also a Certified CPR/AED Instructor.
