General Introduction

Our mission

The Student Liaison role serves as a bridge between WTS and students pursuing careers in transportation-related fields. This position is usually filled by a student who is interested in becoming more involved in the industry and in the WTS community. The Student Liaison may help organize events such as networking opportunities, career fairs, mentorship programs, and industry-specific presentations. This role can also involve outreach to local college or university, promoting WTS membership to students, and encouraging students to consider careers in transportation.

UCF Intro to Transportation Planning

WTS CFL visited UCF's downtown campus to present an introduction to transportation planning to Professor Noh's class. Sarah Larsen provided insights from the public sector perspective, while Negaar Minaei shared her experiences from the private sector.

Valencia College LinkedIn Workshop

Amanda and Maddi hosted a LinkedIn workshop, where they guided students on how to use LinkedIn effectively and emphasized the importance of utilizing the platform.

The Valencia College West Campus Career Carnival is designed to assist students and alumni in getting ready for the career fair. WTS hosted an interview table where they engaged with students, asking interview questions and providing feedback.
