About The WTS Central Virginia Chapter

Central Virginia currently supports a thriving multi-modal transportation corridor for travelers along the East Coast. The Commonwealth proudly attracts tourists, new businesses, and residents to its beautiful mountains, spacious farmlands, and sunny beaches. All modes of transportation exist within the Commonwealth to assure you reach your destination.

WTS Central Virginia Chapter is dedicated to providing our diverse membership with an interactive forum and programs to enrich their perspective of transportation issues and foster opportunities for personal and professional growth. Having gained our charter in August 2006, we are proud to be entering our twelfth year, still making waves among transportation professionals in Virginia with over 70 chapter members and agency partners. This Chapter offers a wide array of programs and opportunities including speaker luncheons, evening receptions, professional development programs, scholarship awards, recognition awards, youth mentorship and community outreach opportunities. All of this is made possible through the generosity of our Corporate Sponsors and dedicated members!

2018 has proved to be a successful and busy year for the Chapter with the transition of our newly passed bylaws! As we focus on 2019 (and beyond), the entire Chapter leadership is committed to bringing together top transportation leaders to discuss today’s critical transportation issues, expanding our professional development programs, building upon our Chapter Scholarship Fund, and making a difference in the transportation industry in Central Virginia.
