What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is when you use someone else's words or ideas and pass them off as your own. It is not allowed in school, or beyond, so it is a good idea to learn the proper way to use resources, such as websites, books, newspapers and magazines.

How do you avoid plagiarism?

So remember, plagirism is wrong. Taking something from someone – whether or not it’s physical – is wrong. Just like physical objects, words and ideas come with value. Hence, do not simply lift and copy someone's words and ideas!

Put yourself in the shoes of the individual who’s had their words or ideas stolen by someone else.
