Leslie is a Washington Township alum and parent in the district. She has two children at Allisonville Elementary and one at North Central High School. Leslie is involved with the Washington Township Community Coalition which focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion and serves as a member of the NCHS Alumni Committee.

Carla Alderman-Schmid was born and raised in Indianapolis and is a proud Washington Township parent, teacher, and public school advocate. She has a 5th grader at Crooked Creek Elementary and an 8th grader at Westlane Middle School. Carla currently serves as the President of the Washington Township Parent Council Network.
