The official documentation of the Server Guidelines to be applied on all settings concerning the We The People initiative
BY the grace of God, this documentation of the Server Guidelines is meant to promote, secure, and discuss the intended means and ends of the founding of the United States of America; including the relevance and importance of matters such as, but not limited to:
The responsibilities and rights of the States in relation to serving her People.
The responsibilities and rights of the People towards both fellow citizens, and towards the States.
The value of family, fellowship and companionship.
The positive effect of morals, ethics, and faith on people and society.
The necessity of understanding context and pretense when it comes to historical works (including the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, et cetera.)
We establish as truth the fact that many of these principles are misunderstood, or even completely unknown among many fellow people; both citizens of the United States of America and non-citizens.
Our aim is thus, to best and accurately provide a basis for these facts towards people who think alike, but also for people who are still 'on the fence', and people who may disagree with us. The rules below aim to facilitate a healthy, conducive environment for all to discuss topics and enjoy fellowship in the above points to the best of our extent—so help us God.
Be it enacted by the Chief Executive of the server, for the good and welfare of the server and its people, as follows:
§ ⅱ.ⅰ - All members of the server, including those unverified, Patriots, Bailiffs and Executives; as well as the Chief Executive, are subject to these guidelines in all situations, except in cases where breach of guidelines and/or procedure may be warranted for the common good. Keep in mind that this common good must be demonstrable and verifiable; and the act itself must be morally good or morally neutral, never evil, for this clause to have effect.
§ ⅱ.ⅱ - The enforcement of the server guidelines is in the hands of the Bailiffs and Executives of the server, in name of and with the responsibility of the Chief Executive. In order to enforce the server guidelines they may use any of the following moderation tools pursuant:
Unofficial reprimanding of server members, using no commands or powers, solely as a courtesy to those involved.
Official warning of server members lower in hierarchy, using established protocols and commands.
Those who are officially warned are formally accused of breaking the server rules, and as such may appeal this decision.
Temporary ban of server members lower in hierarchy, using established protocols and commands.
Those who are temporary banned are formally accused of breaking the server rules, and as such may appeal this decision.
This action must be elaborated on clearly in the given reason of the ban. The accused must also be notified of their right to appeal.
Permanent ban of server members lower in hierarchy, using established protocols and commands.
Those who are permanently banned are formally accused of breaking the server rules, and as such may appeal this decision.
This action must be elaborated on clearly in the given reason of the ban. The accused must also be notified of their right to appeal.
If available/online, a manager must first consult another manager of equal or higher rank, to con-validate their decision.
If another manager is consulted to con-validate their decision, this other manager must also be included in the reason of the ban.
(Reserved to the Chief Executive) Irrevocable permanent ban of server members in flagrant and manifest disregard of server rules.
Those who are irrevocably banned are deemed guilty of knowingly disregarding the spirit and precepts of the server rules.
The Chief Executive must state clearly the irrevocable nature of the ban, as well as the reason and substantiation for the ban.
The Chief Executive must make known to the general public of the server, as well as to the other management, if and when this power is exercised.
These powers may only be exercised by those above in the scenario and situation as above. Any other use is illegitimate and annulled by default.
§ ⅱ.ⅲ - Those of a higher rank may undo a punishment on their own accord or following an appeal on several grounds. These grounds are to be known as follows:
At the time of the punishment, there was not enough proof demonstrated by the manager to warrant the given punishment.
At the time of the punishment, there was a case of mistaken identity and the wrong person was punished.
At the time of the punishment, the judging manager did not have the authority and/or permission needed to render punishment.
At the time of the punishment, the judging manager was misled or confused by arguments later demonstrated to be false.
At the time of the punishment, the judging manager rendered a punishment too harsh and/or not in proportion with the (perceived) breach.
After the punishment, the accused admitted guilt and showed genuine remorse, or at least a committed dedication to better themselves.
After the punishment, the accused was shown to have been acting under duress, under coercion, or in another form of suppression or suggestion in false pretenses, with and through no discernibly reasonable fault of their own.
For other reasons, managers shall refrain from undoing punishments without prior consent from the Chief Executive.
If a manager exercises their right to undo another manager's actions or punishments, they must notify the Chief Executive of this in private.
Be it enacted by the Chief Executive of the server, for the good and welfare of the server and its people, as follows:
§ ⅲ.ⅰ - Under no condition is any of the following points to be allowed; and any manager feigning ignorance or deliberately failing to punish may be held accountable for the act itself and/or may be demoted or stripped of their position due to negligence:
Deliberate and flagrant (promotion of) sin, as communally agreed upon by Christians of most denominations/walks in life. This definition is somewhat deliberately vague to encourage thought and discernment with regards to what should be acceptable in content.
Deliberate misuse or abuse of one's permissions, whether it be extraordinary (moderation, administration) permissions or ordinary (using chat, talking on a voice chat, using bot commands, etc.) permissions. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to: Spamming, flooding, moderator abuse, disturbing or trolling voice calls, mass pinging roles or individuals.
Any breach of Discord guidelines such as the Discord Terms of Service, Discord Community Guidelines, etc.
Deliberate (attempts to) slander or misrepresent a persons or groups ideas, politics, religious precepts, or other identifying aspects through the use of stereotypes or hate speech.
Dishonesty in written word, speech, or roles about one's beliefs or identity.
Dishonesty in agreeing to the rules; or any grave act that would be evidence of such.
These are misgivings 'ipso facto' (by the fact itself) constituting a breach of guidelines, and are subject to punishment as seen fit with regards to the offense by the management. Despite being offenses taken as a definitive breach of guidelines, caution should be exercised by management to not portray the guidelines in a legalistic fashion, or in a way that would discourage someone from showing regret and being forgiven (both in personal terms and for the server.)
§ ⅲ.ⅱ - Always use common sense in your interactions with people on/surrounding the server. If you think something is wrong to say/do, it probably is and you should think twice before saying or doing it anyway. Even if something is not covered in the guidelines by itself, failure to reason and deliberately remaining ignorant about grave and/or serious moral wrongs or evils, may be followed by punishment if the effects of which are deemed profound by the management. This should be used conservatively and rarely, and existing guidelines and/or directives take precedence over this clause.
Be it enacted by the Chief Executive of the server on this day, October 12th 2022, for the good and welfare of the server and its people, as follows:
These additions will be in effect 2 days after the announcement at October 15th 2022 12:00 AM (EDT), to allow for all to have had the opportunity to read.
§ ⅲ.ⅰ - All future audits to the rules (whether they be additions, amendments, or removals) are to be reviewed, commented on, and voted on by the general consisting of all eligible voters in the group of verified members of the community. To be known as eligible are those who:
Are not recently verified (those who have been on the server for more than five days) - and
Are not currently timed out, muted, or isolated - and
Have not previously been effectively banned (without being unbanned before) for more than a month.
There may be exceptions to this rule, and if you're unsure, feel free to ask whether you are eligible.
§ ⅲ.ⅱ - An eligible person (see ⅲ.ⅰ) may vote only once per audit review, unless specifically, clearly, and explicitly stated otherwise. Violation of this guideline will result in a permanent ban from all WTP Initiative (future) services, and will put your IP on our blacklist. Audit reviews will be carefully examined by both server management and trusted members of the community to exclude any tampering or fraudulent voting activity. If any illegal activity was done to commit said fraud, you will be liable to any and all legal repercussions flowing forth from it, and we will chase such action to the furthest extent the law allows.
§ ⅲ.ⅲ - The only vote options pertaining to the rule audits are to be yay (yes) and nay (no). Neutral or absent votes are not permitted. Delegation is allowed in-so-far as the service used to audit the rule providers, and must clearly be made known either in the voting process or privately towards server management using a ticket or DMs. Delegating votes without prior notice places both the delegatee as well as the delegator at risk of administrative actions, as well as the casted vote being null and void.
§ ⅲ.ⅳ - Any community member who is made aware of potentially fraudulent activity is mandated to notify server management of their findings or reasonable suspicions as soon as possible. Failure to do this may place you at risk of being found accessory or negligent, which may incur administrative actions to you as well.
§ ⅲ.ⅴ - Any rule proposal is not valid and in effect until the following conditions have all been met:
There was a rule audit allowing ample time, but at least 48 hours, for the community to cast their votes on the proposed rule.
The rule audit gained a majority vote (≥50% of all counted votes, decimals .4 and below rounded down, decimals .5 and above rounded up.)
The rule audit ran its full course, preliminary results do not constitute approval.
The rule audit results were tallied and examined.
4b. There was no indication to reasonably suggest that illicit or invalid voting swayed the vote result.
The voting base was reasonably representative of the general consensus among those eligible to vote.
The server management gives their final approval to the audited proposal.
The Chief Executive posts the new rule here, sharing with it the peer audit results and any remarkable details regarding the voting process.
The Chief Executive signs the new rule with their PGP key.
The rule is now in effect at the date presented by the proposal, but at least two full days after the announcement of the new rule.
GPG Signature will be in the Discord guideline announcement!
All rules are subject to change. It is your responsibility to read additions, edits, and deletions of/to the rules and they will be communicated beforehand through the proper server channels.
