This Privacy Policy explains how WTMP Guard ("the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use the app. WTMP Guard is developed by Tuber Technologies.
WTMP Guard is a device-protection app that detects unauthorized access attempts and helps you review what happened. This policy covers what the app currently collects, how it's stored, and — because we plan to introduce advertising in a future version — what that will mean for your data once it launches.
WTMP Guard collects the following information, all of which is processed locally on your device:
When someone enters the wrong PIN, pattern, or password, the app captures a photo. Successful unlocks and screen-on events are recorded without a photo unless you turn on "Also photograph unlocks & screen-on" in Settings, which is off by default. Any photo taken is saved to the app's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere, and no other app on your device can access it.
To identify which app was open around an event, WTMP Guard needs visibility into installed apps on your device. This is used only to resolve an app's name for display in your reports — it is not used to monitor your general app usage or behavior.
This permission lets the app prevent itself from being silently uninstalled or disabled by someone other than you. You can revoke this at any time from the app's Settings screen, which requires confirming your device's screen lock (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or face unlock).
If you enable location for event reports, approximate coordinates may be attached to a report. Converting those coordinates into a readable place name is handled by your device's own operating system location service, not by our servers — WTMP Guard itself has no network access and cannot transmit this data independently.
As of this version of the app:
- We do not collect analytics or usage statistics.
- We do not operate any servers that store your photos, reports, or location history.
- We do not sell your data.
- WTMP Guard has no internet permission and contains no networking code, so it has no technical means of transmitting your photos or usage data off your device.
WTMP Guard does not currently display ads. We plan to introduce advertising in a future version of the app, and this section describes what that will involve once it launches, so you can review it in advance.
When advertising is enabled, the app will work with third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob or similar providers) to display ads. These networks may collect and process:
- Advertising ID (a resettable, non-permanent device identifier used for ads, such as Android's Advertising ID / AAID)
- General device information (device model, operating system version, general region/language)
- Approximate location, if location permission is enabled, for the purpose of showing more relevant ads
- Ad interaction data (which ads were shown, clicked, or dismissed)
We will not share your photos, event reports, or usage-access data with ad networks. Advertising data collection is limited to what's listed above and is separate from the security data described in Section 2.
- You can reset or limit your device's Advertising ID at any time in your device's system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android versions).
- You can opt out of personalized/interest-based ads through your device's ad settings, where supported by the ad network.
- This policy will be updated with the specific ad network(s) in use, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect that change, before ads go live in a released version of the app.
Information collected by WTMP Guard is used only to:
- Show you event reports (photos, app-usage context, location) within the app
- Let you review and manage your own security history
- Once implemented, support advertising as described in Section 4
We do not use your security data (photos, usage-access records) for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond showing it back to you in the app.
Photos and event reports are stored in the app's private, sandboxed storage, which other apps on your device cannot access. This data remains on your device and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear individual reports from within the app.
We do not share your security data (camera captures, usage-access records, location history) with any third party. Once advertising is implemented, limited advertising-related data (Section 4) will be shared with the ad network(s) in use, consistent with their own privacy policies, which we will link from this page.
WTMP Guard is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Once advertising is implemented, we will not knowingly show targeted or personalized ads to users we know to be children, and will configure our ad integration to request non-personalized ads where the ad network supports age-appropriate treatment. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us using the details in Section 11 and we will address it.
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored photos and reports. You can also delete individual reports at any time from within the app (Report Detail → Delete), or clear all reports at once from Settings → Clear reports now. Reports are also automatically deleted after 30 days by default (adjustable in Settings → Auto-clear reports).
You can disable camera, usage access, location, or device administrator permissions at any time through your device's system settings (revoking device administrator requires confirming your screen lock, from within the app).
Reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads through your device's system settings.
If you have questions about what data relates to you or want to make a request regarding it, contact us using the details below.
If this policy changes — including when advertising is introduced — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
