Professional Experiences

I have been fortunate in my career to have many great opportunities for professional development and experience. Please see my Curriculum Vitae on the home page for more information. I will list some of the highlights below.

• My career started with two tracks

  • Outdoor Education

    • I laid the foundation for my career working at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. I worked with the Outdoor Pursuits and Camp Massasoit Programs.

  • Freestyle Skiing

    • I coached freestyle skiing out of Waterville Valley, New Hampshire for 5 years. As the Head Coach at Waterville Valley Ski Resort, I designed a curriculum with an emphasis on progression and risk management practices aligned with the standards set by the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). 

• Injuries forced me to leave skiing behind and I fully committed to outdoor education. Some of my roles are listed below

  • Field Guide at Open Sky Wilderness Therapy in Durango, Colorado.

  • Adventure Module Leader at the Mountain Valley Treatment Center in Pike, New Hampshire.

  • Adventure Coordinator at the Upper Valley Stewardship Center (UVSC) in Pike, New Hampshire.

  • Adjunct Faculty/Teaching Lecturer at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

  • Contract Field Instructor (Caving Specialty) at Northern Vermont University in Johnson, Vermont.

  • Owner and Operator of Adventure Experiences LLC. based out Silver City, New Mexico.
