This is an organization of undergraduate students, graduate students, and professors in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics of Wichita State University who identify as women.
The goal of this group is two-fold. One is to indicate a presence of women in the math department and provide information for students potentially interested in pursuing mathematics. The other is to provide a network for women in the WSU Mathematics department and facilitate Women in Mathematics activities.
One of our main outreach activities is Sonia Kovalevsky Day. The first one was held in Spring 2022.
This website includes a list of resources for doing mathematics for women.
We have received funding from the Dean of the Graduate School at WSU, as well as the WSU Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics.
