Step 1: Get started

Navigate to myjumpstart.wsutech.edu and select the High School Student role

  • Complete all items with an asterisk

  • Must know social security number

  • Use a personal email address as some school accounts do not accept emails outside your school

  • You will be automatically directed to your myJumpStart page.

step 2: Select your course(s)

Login to myjumpstart.wsutech.edu and select "Enroll in Classes." Make sure the correct High School is selected and your classes for the semester will populate below

  • Select the correct course you plan on enrolling for dual credit (check Term, Course/Section, Instructor, and Schedule)

      • There may be multiple sections of the same course offered at your high school. Choose the correct course(s) by viewing the dates, time, and instructor!

  • After selecting your courses, click "Enrolled for Selected"

step 3: Upload Supporting Document(s)

Login to myjumpstart.wsutech.edu using your new credentials that you created in Step 1. You will be automatically be sent to this page after Step 1.

      • Upload your high school transcript, ACT score(s), Accuplacer or EdReady scores, or college transcript under "Supporting Document(s)" in order for us to verify GPA and eligibility requirements for General Education Dual Credit

      • Please make sure your name is included on the supporting documents

STEP 4: Parental Consent

  • To complete your application, click on "Parental Consent." You can send your parent/guardian an email to request authorization OR have your parent/guardian read the acknowledgement and sign parental consent for you, the student, to enroll in dual credit classes.

FERPA (Optional)


In compliance with the Federal Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, WSU Tech is prohibited from providing certain information from your student records to a third party (i.e. parents), such as information on grades, billing, and other student record information. You may, at your discretion, grant WSU Tech permission to release information about your student records to a third party by submitting a completed Student Consent to Release Education Records authorization. You must complete a separate form for each third party to whom you grant access to information on your student records.
  • Navigate to "FERPA Consent" on your Home Page or on the left navigation panel

  • Read the description and Complete all fields with information on the third party you are allowing WSU Tech to communicate with in regards to your student records.

  • Create an identifier code with the parameters listed. (This is the code that you will give to your parent/guardian so they can communicate with WSU Tech on your behalf).

  • Verify all information is accurate, sign (student's signature), and submit.

  • Have questions regarding FERPA? Call 316.677.9400 and ask to speak to the Registrar.

STEP 5: Checking your enrollment status

Unsure of your enrollment status? Check on MyJumpstart!

The WSU Tech enrollment team will view your course selection(s) and officially enroll you in the course(s) with instructor approval once the unofficial transcript is verified. You can check your enrollment status under the "Enrollment Status" section.

Course Status Descriptions:

  • APPLIED: Waiting for supporting documents from High School or Parent Consent.

  • APPROVED/NOT APPROVED: High School has reviewed the enrollment request.

  • REGISTERED: Registration for the class(es) selected was successful.

  • DROP: The class is dropped prior to the start date. This will not show on the student's college transcript.

  • WITHDRAW: A withdraw occurs after a class add/drop period and the student is responsible for any outstanding balances. This will appear on the student's college transcript.

  • LATE APPLICATION: The application was received after the deadline and will not be processed this term.

STEP 6: paying for your classes

Some Technical courses are FREE and some courses are offered at a reduced rate

PAYMENT OPTION 1: Online credit card payments

      • Payments can be completed online once you are officially enrolled. Please allow 7-10 business days after submitting your online enrollment form to access your account.

      • Login to your myWSUtech student portal. Don't remember your username or password? Contact LearningServices@wsutech.edu

      • Navigate to the Student tab on the left, scroll down to "Business Office", and click on the "Pay My Bill."

PAYMENT OPTION 2: Credit card payments over the phone

      • Payments can be completed over the phone once you are officially enrolled. Please allow 7-10 business days after you have submitted your online enrollment form to contact the Business office at 316.677.9511.

PAYMENT OPTION 3: Cash, Check, Credit card, set-up Payment Plan at one of our Business office locations.

  • If you are wanting to pay for your dual credit course with cash or check, please contact the Business office to discuss your options and/or make payment arrangements.
