Program
Prerequisites
While the winter school deals with advanced topics in motivic homotopy theory, we aim for it to be accessible to a wide audience. Students familiar with sections 3 and 4 of Antieau-Elmanto's survey will be well-prepared. Basic knowledge of infinity category theory is also highly recommended.
Exercise sessions
The speakers will provide exercises during their lectures. These will be discussed during daily exercise sessions, led by Klaus Mattis and Viktor Burghardt.
Dinner on Tuesday
The school dinner will take place at Eisgrub-Bräu. It Starts at 18:30 on Tuesday. There is a 10€ contribution towards the food, payable during registration on Monday. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.
Free afternoon on Wednesday
During the free afternoon there is no official program. Here are some suggestions:
soccer: We have reserved a time slot at an indoor soccer place: up to 12 people can play between 14:40 and 16:10.
bouldering: Mainz has a bouldering gym.
hiking: If the weather is good, there are several scenic hikes just a train ride away. One option is to take a train to Bad Münster am Stein and hike to Bad Kreuznach via `Rheingrafenstein' and `Gans'. There you can stop at a Biergarten (Brauwark) and catch a train back to Mainz. Here is a GPX track for the hike.
sight seeing: Mainz has many famous sights, among them the Gutenberg-Museum and the Stephanskirche with the famous Chagall windows.
