Club Meetings Weekly
The WSU 3D Printing Club needs part files! The club will be selling small parts and knick-knacks in the CUB for the holidays and would love to include student-made items in our gift sale. While all suitable submissions will be printed and sold, the winner of our design contest will receive a club T-Shirt and be featured on our table! Parts will be judged by club officers on the following design considerations:
Ease of Printing - lacking supports / material to remove
Copywrite Free - Ideal designs lack any official WSU logos!
Functional - Your part should do something; looking good counts!
Appealing - People should want to buy your part!
Submissions should be in native SolidWorks formats or .stl files if created in alternate programs (ie. Fusion360). Please either utilize Pack and Go or otherwise ensure that all part files are included with a submitted assembly. All submissions should be in .zip format, sent along with questions, to the club's Event Organizer at brienna.hall@wsu.edu.
Submissions are Due on Friday, November 17 by 11:59pm.
The challenge Spring Semester was to create a Computer Clip similar to this design on thingiverse.com by u/Tosh!
Luke's design features a notecard holder for easy Zoom presentations in an online environment. Judges also appreciated the tiny details of the embossed waves and the applied appearance!
