Volunteer Recruitment and Development - Capitalize on Human Capital
Presenter:
Alexandra Maggio, Chief of Community Engagement, United Way of Pioneer Valley
Nonprofits need volunteers to fulfill their mission, and volunteers want to support a cause so it’s a win/win and we can all go home…except that it isn’t that easy. That’s why there are volunteer managers (and yes, we get paid for this job). Volunteer Recruitment and Development must be an investment, and strategy for long term success. It’s work, but if you do it well there are endless possibilities for your investment to strengthen your organization. This presentation will look at volunteerism through the lens of Service Enterprise standards and show how the people supporting your mission through volunteerism have the potential to big your biggest asset.
