Hello and welcome. My name is Niccolette Reta, and I am a creative writer and storyteller dedicated to finding the magic in the margins. With a specialty in fantasy and historical fiction, my work is a tapestry woven from the legendary influences of J.R.R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert,  Robert Jordan, and Guillermo del Toro. However, my narratives are fueled by a deep academic foundation in global mysticism, occult practices, and the grim realities of historical heresy. By merging rigorous research into European witchcraft and Nordic Seiðr with the vibrant folklore of my Latin and Scandinavian heritage, I build worlds that feel both fresh and timelessly authentic.

My approach to writing is professional but never clinical. I am a sensory-rich writer; my work is designed to do more than inform, it is built to be felt. By intentionally appealing to the senses, I transform abstract concepts into visceral experiences that resonate deeply with an audience. This ability to command attention and evoke specific emotional responses allows me to bridge the gap between complex research and compelling, persuasive narrative. I understand how to craft a "voice" that lingers, turning casual readers into dedicated followers of a story. I am currently putting this philosophy into practice as I draft three fantasy novels that explore the complex intersections of power, ancient mysticism, and the whimsical unknown.

I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Arizona State University, both completed with a 4.0 GPA. I achieved my Master’s in a rigorous 11-month span, a testament to my discipline, my capability for deep-dive historical research, and my unwavering commitment to excellence.

Beyond the page, I am a photographer focused on the whimsical and magical. My photography serves as a visual counterpart to my writing, capturing the world’s beauty through a lens of wonder. I aim to showcase how truly enchanting our reality and our history can be when viewed with intention.
