The action of liking the same gender, without the direct connotation of one sexuality. It will also be used to describe a lot of sexualities all at once.
The word queer is so versatile in use. I will be specifying from time to time which sexuality I will be discussing. Usually, I will use gay to represent men loving men relationships and lesbian to describe women loving women relationships.
While I do acknowledge that queer is an identity in itself, it also encompasses what it means to like the same gender, while noting that there’s variety within the label like bisexuality or someone who is still questioning.

Caprioglio (2021) also discusses the importance of the closet, She wrote, “character’s queerness must be revealed before the story can move forward, either in terms of romantic relationships or friendships” (Caprioglio, 2021, p. 455).
