Limitations and Conclusion

While I would love to spend all day discussing the different storylines in Heartstopper (Oseman, 2016; Oseman, 2022), I only have so many words. There are plenty of experiences that can cause trauma as a queer person within this series and I would love to cover them all.

In conclusion, Heartstopper is a great queer representation. It covers all kinds of identities and experiences. In addition, we need these trauma narratives in queer media. Experiencing trauma is almost part of the queer experience, especially surrounding the closet. Tasteful trauma narratives, like those in Heartstopper are what make queer plotlines a bit more real.
