facilitating a healthy and positive work environment is most important
take risks and believe in yourself
Me: What made you want to pursue Mamaka full time and become a store operator?
Allie: I knew that this is what I wanted to do at least for the short future, because it’s my friend from childhood and her mom who started Mamaka and this was such a great opportunity to learn how to run a business and your own store! I also love coming to work everyday and the vibes here are obviously the best!
Me: Yesss, I love coming to work and it’s always so fun so I get it! I never knew you grew up with her that’s so cool! How do you plan to grow in this business?
Allie: From the experience that I gain here, wherever I decided to land in the future I know I now have the skills and experience to start a business of my own some day :)
Me: Yes that would def help! Last question- What does it mean to you that Mamaka is female-owned by young business women and what message do you think that spreads to our community!
Allie: Honestly that anything is possible and that you don’t need an education, or men, to create a successful and thriving business! It all requires hard work and dedication. It is also a huge plus that we create a healthy work environment that is fun and makes everyone who works here always be positive and have the best vibes!
Me: Thank you so much and see you later!!
Allie: Of course! See ya soon!
