Writing Proposals Training
This year, the Conference on Training for Leadership and Change will bring to Vancouver a workshop on "Effective Business Writing." If you are writing your proposals, you will want to attend this workshop. The workshop will explore how to choose between writing proposals that fit the needs of either clients or partners; and how to take advantage of various business writing solutions.
The workshop is taught by Mary Ann Morrissette, who wrote the best-selling "How to Write Successful Brochures and Corporate Writing," and "How to Write Consistent Business Content." Mary also has a Masters in Professional Writing from the University of Washington. She can show you how to choose between writing proposals that fit the needs of either clients or partners; and how to take advantage of various business writing solutions.
Mary Ann's goal with "Effective Business Writing Proposals" is to equip participants with the skills needed to write presentations in ways that are unique to their clients and partners. We all know what it feels like to write an essay in the first person: "Mary Ann Morrissette, MBA," etc. For Mary Ann, the more important thing is to get the information across in writing, which allows your clients and partners to see that you are someone they can trust. It allows you to help them accomplish their goals, instead of simply presenting your product or service.
Since so many people at this Conference will be attending seminars, workshops, and learning about writing proposals training, Mary will share a more practical approach to business writing that has been shown to work. This workshop will give you tips and techniques on how to make your proposal the best possible, while getting the desired result.
To come up with the most effective business writing, you must have an in-depth understanding of the true success of a successful business. Mary will teach you how to keep your client'sgoals in mind when writing, as well as the strategies to use when marketing and selling.
If you are used to writing with one or two points of view, you will probably find this training a bit strange. With this workshop, Mary will teach you how to write with more than one viewpoint. Remember, clients and partners want to see that you truly understand their goals, and why they need what you are offering.
If you are using a method of writing that doesn't meet the needs of either a client or partner, you may want to change to a different method, or come up with a better solution. Mary Ann will show you how to choose between writing proposals that fit the needs of either clients or partners; and how to take advantage of various business writing solutions. In addition, she will show you how to evaluate each solution, and determine which one is best for your situation.
Mary Ann teaches strategies on how to write proposals that help clients and partners achieve their goals. This is what she is primarily interested in when teaching this workshop, as well as many other writing workshops.
Because there are many different reasons that a business must engage in business writing, including gaining new clients, helping existing clients, improving their ability to get new clients, and improving their brand image, the workshop will focus on making your business ideas and proposals as unique as possible, while still working within the bounds of your own financial self-interest. Mary will teach you to make yourself more available and interesting, while still catering to the needs of your clients and partners. She will also show you how to choose between writing proposals that fit the needs of either clients or partners; and how to take advantage of various business writing solutions.
You can teach others to write their own business plan; and they will also benefit from the training you will be giving. Your clients and partners will come away from the workshops feeling more comfortable with the prospect of working with you, since you will not only be able to provide a solution to their particular needs, but also show them how to choose between the solutions.
The success of any organization depends on the communication between the people who are working within the organization. Therefore, it is vital that all employees are trained properly how to use business writing methods that serve both parties in the best possible way.
Learning about writing proposals training is a crucial part of a Business Writing Workshop. Program in the Executive Programs at the University of Western Ontario.
